Infant & Youth Specified CPR & First Aid Class

For parents, caregivers, babysitters, educators, and more.

The Infant/Youth Specified CPR & First Aid Class is designed to provide life-saving skills that could be required when caring for children of any age.

It covers a detailed list of pediatric emergencies and how to respond, serving anyone who wants to be prepared to care for children and become CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation), First Aid, and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) Certified.

This class is specifically geared toward parents, babysitters, schools, after-school programs, youth sports/arts/centers, and OSHA-compliant workplaces that serve children and families.

Upon completion of this class, you will receive an American Red Cross Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Certification.

CPR

You Will Learn:

  • How to recognize signs of cardiac arrest and respiratory distress

  • Perform high-quality chest compressions

  • Deliver effective rescue breaths

  • Use a barrier device or mask

  • Practice CPR sequence: Compressions, Airway, Breathing (CAB)

Pediatric Emergencies

You Will Learn:

  • How to provide care during medical emergencies and trauma/injury

  • Bleeding control, wound care

  • Burns, fractures, sprains, head injuries

  • Allergic Reactions

  • Breathing Emergencies

  • Seizures

  • Insect/animal Bites

  • Drownings

Choking

You Will Learn:

  • Understand choking

  • Signs and Symptoms

  • Recognizing a choking emergency (Mild vs. Severe)

  • Step by Step response for all ages

  • When to activate 911

  • Post-Emergency Care

  • Prevention tips

$199 per person

Minimum of 3 people & maximum of 12 people per class.
