BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS) CLASS
For prospective First Responders & Healthcare Professionals
The Basic Life Support Class is designed to provide life-saving skills that could be required anywhere.
It covers a large array of emergencies and how to respond, serving anyone who wants to be prepared and become CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation), First Aid, and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) Certified. There is a large focus on communication, teamwork, scene safety, and recognizing emergencies.
This class is specifically geared toward those who are entering the healthcare field.
Upon completion of this class, you will receive an American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
CPR
You Will Learn:
How to recognize signs of cardiac arrest and respiratory distress
Perform high-quality chest compressions
Deliver effective rescue breaths
Use a barrier device or mask
Practice CPR sequence: Compressions, Airway, Breathing (CAB)
First Aid
You Will Learn:
Recognizing emergencies and identifying the problem
Bleeding control, wound care
Burns, fractures, sprains, head injuries
Recognizing emergencies and identifying the problem
Necessary actions for;
-Obstructed airways
-Opioid overdose
-Heart Attacks
-Strokes
-Seizures
-Allergic Reactions
AED
You Will Learn:
What an AED is, how it works, and when to use it
Safety precautions when using an AED
Step-by-step AED operation
Pad placement for adults, children, and infants
AED prompts and troubleshooting
$149 per person
Minimum of 3 people & maximum of 12 people per class.
Classes held at a location of your choosing within Orange County.
